STEPPING INTO THE UNKNOWN

I’m starting a new journey today. The path is an unfamiliar one. One would think I should be used to that type of path by now in my life. Yet, I am not. One of my fears has always been that of the unknown. I have some anxiety, I have to admit.

My doctor recommended a therapy to help my heart condition called flow therapy. The technology baffles me. My energy level prevents me, most days, of connecting to the knowledge on a written page. Many people have said that there is a large percentage of success with this type of therapy. I can only trust at this point and pray they are correct.

My pastor presented a thought yesterday that challenged me. “ Strengths impress. Weaknesses connect.” When we present our strengths to others, we are trying to impress them. However, when we present our weaknesses to those around us, a connection is born. God led me to write this blog so His strength would be shown through my weaknesses.

So, here I am again. I’m anxious and nervous. I am ready to finish this first session of the seven-week therapy so that a little of the unknown is behind me.

Will you join Jesus in holding my hand? I know He walks before Me. He has already prepared this path for me. I have to take the next step on this journey and get in my car in a few hours. Faith. Trust. Confidence. All in Jesus!

Do you have a path of unknown right now? Let’s walk together, shall we?

“May the Lord answer you in the day of trouble! May the name of the God of Jacob set you securely on high! May He send you help from the sanctuary and support you from Zion! May He remember all your meal offerings and find your burnt offering acceptable! Selah.

May He grant you your heart’s desire and fulfill all your counsel! We will sing for joy over your victory, and in the name of our God we will set up our banners. May the Lord fulfill all your petitions.

Now I know that the Lord save His anointed; He will answer him from His holy heaven with the saving strength of His right hand. Some boast in chariots and some in horses, but we will boast in the name of the Lord, our God. They have bowed down and fallen, but we have risen and stood upright. Save, O Lord; may the King answer us in the day we call.” Psalm 20
